When we got engaged, we were so excited! We had all these dreams for our big day and we couldn’t wait to see them come to pass. But very quickly those big dreams came head to head with expectations from others, full time work schedules and our budget. We started to see that planning a wedding was way more work than what we ever expected, and we needed help, fast!
Hiring Vanessa was the best decision we made. She talked with us and helped us to really identify the wedding WE actually wanted. And in less than a year, we had a wedding better than we could have dreamed of! And within our budget!! She broke down the mountain of tasks into small chunks we could actually take on! She helped to keep us on track so that we weren’t running around the last couple of weeks before our big day. She encouraged us whenever stress started to creep up.
To make things even better, the day of our wedding ended up being awesome! We could truly just enjoy ourselves without having to worry about anything beyond getting to marry one another! Our guests and parents were so impressed by how smooth the wedding went! Especially impressive, since we come from two very big, very opinionated families! She even stayed late to make sure the last few party animals made it into Ubers and on their way!
We can’t recommend her enough! The one piece of advice we give every couple who is about to be engaged or is newly engaged is to get a wedding planner, and better yet hire Vanessa! You won’t regret it!

The idea of planning my wedding was super exciting, however, when I began the actual planning, I quickly began to feel very overwhelmed. It didn’t help that I'm the type of person who wants to get everything done all at once. I created unattainable goals and when I fell short of my expectations, I felt like a failure. At this time, I knew I needed help planning my wedding. Vanessa’s contact information was on Barn Swallow Field’s list of preferred vendors. After our video chat, I felt a huge sense of relief. Vanessa provided me with an achievable timeline and kept me focused on the priorities. She’s kind, caring and has a lot of valuable knowledge and experience.
Vanessa is very professional and takes great pride in what she does. She provided me with great advice, guidance and reassurance that everything would be okay when I was feeling stressed. To name a few of the many things she did was help me find vendors, reply to email threads, create and update our wedding itinerary, fill out questionnaires, made sure vendors had the necessary insurance policies, and was quick to solve problems. She took charge to ensure that our wedding day ran smoothly. I didn’t have to worry about possible arising conflicts or sticking to the timeline. I was able to enjoy each and every moment of my special day. I have so many amazing memories that I will forever cherish.
